I am a member of COSCA, Scotland's professional body for counselling and psychotherapy. I adhere to the code of ethics of EATA, UKATA & COSCA (click hyperlink for info on ethics and complaints procedures). My counselling practice is based in the south of Edinburgh at the Tara Trust in Marchall Crescent a short distance from both the Royal Commonwealth Pool and Cameron Toll shopping centre.
Everyone experiences times when they need the support of another person. At times this support comes from your family and friends. At other times it may be that you have no one to turn to, or those you love are unable to give you the support you need to find the right way forward. At these times it could be helpful to talk to a trained counsellor in confidence in an atmosphere of non judgmental warmth.
I provide a safe non-judgemental space where you can talk and explore your relationships, discuss your mental health, anxiety, depression, anger, low self-esteem, bereavement, substance use or any aspect of you life that may be causing difficulties.
I adapt counselling to account for your personal needs, looking at thinking, feeling, and behaviour. My aim is to create a counselling space in which you feel secure, safe, and supported enough to examine and, with some work, change whatever is causing you difficulty.
My fees are £40 per 60 min. session for individuals and £60 per 90 min. session for couples.
I have a limited number of reduced rate places available. The fee you pay is agreed at the initial meeting for which I charge just £10 to cover room costs.
Whether you find yourself saying "Why does this keep happening to me?" or life has taken an unexpected turn. I offer an accepting attitude and safe space where you can discuss whatever is causing you difficulty.
There may be nothing specific, just a general persistent feeling of not being yourself, or a feeling of not being connected with your life. Whatever you have in mind feel free to get in touch.
